Dr. Paul O’Grady is your Certified Invisalign Provider in Grand Rapids, MI

Consider Invisalign treatment to get the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted — without braces. A complimentary consultation with Dr. O’Grady at our Grand Rapids orthodontic office can determine if Invisalign clear aligners are right for you.

With modern advances in research and development, nearly every patient who visits O’Grady Orthodontics is an Invisalign candidate! As an Elite Preferred Invisalign Provider, Dr. O'Grady has extensive experience in delivering outstanding orthodontic results with Invisalign and Invisalign Teen treatment, even for challenging cases. O’Grady Orthodontics was the first office in Grand Rapids to offer Invisalign, and the only orthodontist in the area to be selected as a semi-finalist for the Best Invisalign Outcomes of the Year!

What is it?

Invisalign treatment uses a series of virtually invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that allow you to smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign clear aligners are made with 3D computer imaging technology and have been proven effective. While more than 70% of orthodontists in the US and Canada are certified to administer Invisalign treatment, less than 5% of these trained providers have achieved Dr. O’Grady’s “Elite” status.

Why would I want it?

Not only are the aligners virtually invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also more comfortable than traditional braces, with no metal or wires, which also usually mean you spend less time at O’Grady Orthodontics getting adjustments. Invisalign treatment also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

How does it work?

You wear each set of aligners for  1-2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to their final positions. You'll only need to visit Dr. O’Grady about once every two to three months to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 12 to 18 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

When you’re done with the active phase of Invisalign treatment, you’ll need to wear a retainer to keep your smile beautiful for years to come. We offer permanent retainers and nighttime removable retainers for dual retention.

“Just got done with my Invisalign today and I've never felt more confident. Dr. O'Grady and his team truly are the best around and I will recommend them to everyone I know. So professional, caring, organized, and talented. Thank you all! I'm so happy with my final result!” – Kylee M.
